Tea cupAbout Me
This is my 21st year of teaching at Ortonville Elementary. During my tenure I have taught kindergarten, Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE), Title reading and math, but my favorite by far is 6th grade.  I love the independence of my students. They are capable of many great things, yet are still children that enjoy learning and having fun. They are still finding their "niche" in life and I feel privileged to help them sort it out. I am blessed to be able to spend my day developing relationships with my students by providing an inviting learning environment.

I am working toward my Master's degree in Literacy with a focus on K-12 Reading. My hope is to improve on my reading teaching strategies and create lifelong readers along the way.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family.  My husband (Stacey) and I have four children.  Mackenzie attends The University of South Dakota (USD), Vermillion where she received a Bachelor's degree in Biology but is pursuing degrees in chemistry and health sciences as well. She is busy with medical school applications and planning her wedding.  Alexander is a junior at North Dakota State University (NDSU)
Go Bison! Alex is studying Accounting and Military Science as an ROTC cadet. Madeleine is a senior at Milbank High School where she is active in Football Cheerleading and track. She is passionate about gymnastics, practices year round and is a proud member of the Bulldog Gymnastics team. Nathaniel is a freshman at Ortonville High School (OHS).  He is a football player, wrestler and track runner.  We spend many evenings sitting in the bleachers cheering on our favorite teams! We spend our summers at the lake jetskiing and relaxing.  I tend to prefer dry land and sit in the swing reading, taking pictures and observing.
