This course will include: expanding vocabulary; improving reading skills/strategies to understand and evaluate a variety of fiction and nonfiction texts; increasing proficiency in literary analysis, interpretation and evaluation; planning, organizing, drafting and revising writings for a variety of purposes and audiences; expanding expertise in standard English spelling, grammar and usage; developing critical thinking skills related to print and electronic media.
