Welcome to a new school year! I am looking forward to teaching fifth grade this year.
A few words about myself.................
I grew up in a large farm family (10 kids) in South Dakota. I attended and graduated from the Browns Valley School District and from Moorhead State University. Prior to the consolidation, I taught in the Bellignham School District beginning in the fall of 1985. I have taught at the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade levels. In Ortonville, I was a 6th grade teacher.
I am married with two kids. Both kids graduated from the Ortonville school, so that means I am a empty nester! It is a lot quieter around the house............too quiet! I am now looking forward to spending more time on the things I enjoy doing such as quilting, reading, "junking," and in general, whatever I've been putting off for the day when the kids are gone. I love to learn about new things, and I decided I wanted to visit every Minnesota Historical Society sight in the state. I have visited three of them this summer. The last one being the Jeffers Petroglyphs. Yes, I know....nerdy!
